JYD <3 Mrs Reyes

And stepping up to the plate for DC, here's their entirely awesome yet criminally undervalued character showing that comics can move us emotionally:

Don't get me wrong, Jaime is wonderful and a top notch superhero but his mum rocks not only my world but the world of anybody with, y'know, emotions.

Blue Beetle is wonderful :D

What other superhero would send their mom to solve a problem? :D

He's like a mix of Spider-Man and Superman :)

Ami: Blue Beetle is amazing. When Ted got offed in CTIC I was one of the disappointigly pissed off fanboys ranting and raving about the death of such a beloved character but since then I have entirely changed my mind. Ted's death was awesome. Not only did it bring Booster back into prominence but we also got Jaime out of it. I only picked up the first issue out of curiousness fully expecting to hate it and each issue has been fantastic. There have been so many absolutely classic moments in under 2 years of comics that reading it makesme feel like I did when I read Gail Simone's Birds of Prey for the first time or Walt Simonson's Thor or when I started picking up the Spider-Man Essentials. The stories themselves are great but Jaime himself typifies what a superhero should be.

Gyuss: True dat. Ma Kent and Aunt May can bugger off. Mrs Reyes is now comics' primary matriarch.
